IMPORTANT: UK PHONE NETWORK CHANGE

The old phone network switches off 31 January 2027.

GOOD TO KNOW

Business phones, explained.

Simple answers before you make the switch.

Ask us a question
Can we keep our existing business number?

Often, yes. Number transfers depend on your current provider, number type and porting eligibility. We’ll check what’s possible before arranging a move.

Do we need new desk phones?

Not necessarily. Depending on the service and device compatibility, your team may be able to use desktop or mobile softphones, compatible desk phones, or a combination.

What happens if our internet connection fails?

VoIP needs connectivity. We can discuss resilient broadband, mobile backup and alternative call-routing options for your business.

Does the 2027 switch-off mean all copper broadband stops?

No. The scheduled PSTN closure concerns traditional analogue telephone services. Copper-based broadband availability and migration depend on the network and location.

Can we move without interrupting calls?

We’ll plan your changeover and number porting with you. Timing and any interruption depend on the existing setup and the providers involved.
